A data center is an important part of a large business. It is where the company's central computer system is housed along with backup power supply. The purpose of a data center is to ensure continuity and uninterrupted service. The data center also houses security software and hardware which protects the company and its information from any type of security breach. Large companies must have a dependable backup system ready in case the regular system goes down or has any kind of problem. Being able to insure that a company keeps functioning no matter what circumstances occur is what a data center is all about.
Having access to the data when normal systems are offline are of utmost importance.
